A short drive along the famous River Road which winds along the Delaware River finds you in New Hope, home of the Bucks County Playhouse, the State Theater of Pennsylvania and world-renowned Bucks County Impressionist painters. New Hope abounds with hundreds of specialty shops, restaurants and art galleries as well as offering the memorable experience of cruising the river and canal or the riding the New Hope & Ivyland Steam Railroad. Rice's Sale & Country Market, in existence since 1860, is located just outside of New Hope and has 30 acres of new and used items, antiques, produce, Amish meats and baked goods - get there early!

A short distance from New Hope is Peddler's Village surrounded by award winning gardens and the classic carousel. Further along Route 202 is Doylestown, home to James Michener, Pearl Buck, Margaret Mead, David Burpee, Oscar Hammerstein, as well as "Fonthill", the home of Dr. Henry Mercer, the Mercer Museum and the Moravian Tile Works, the James A. Michener Art Museum, the Polish National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa and myriad shops, galleries and restaurants. Just over the Bucks County border towards Philadelphia is the "worlds' largest indoor value mall" -- Franklin Mills. Look for 20-60% discounts in over 200 stores. Families delight in the ever-popular Sesame Place in Langhorne for children from 3-13.
